These 10 weeks we learned about music instruments, tones, recordings,
mixing etc. The objective for our composition is for it to combine with the
animals,
gems, and different exhibits in the permanent collection at the Natural History
Museum.
We learned how to make loops with the film from the cassettes by cutting
them up into several different lengths and taped them together into loops
for the
tape machine. Before we made the loops we also made beat patterns.
The reason why we are making music for the museum is so we can get a feel
for the setting and the collections, to expose us to different concepts,
music
and ideas, and to be able to express ourselves.
